About Us
Established In 2019
Cru Veterinary, although a relatively new business to the Monterey Peninsula,
brings a new aspect of mobile veterinary care to Monterey and surrounding
areas, offering exclusively small animal services. Cru means vineyard in
French, and Cru himself (Dr Hofer's dog) was named after her favorite winery
favorite winery in the Central Valley of California.
Meet The Business Owner
Dr. Jacqueline Hofer grew up in the Sierra
Nevada Foothills south of Yosemite National Park on a working cattle and horse
ranch. Dr Hofer received her Bachelor of Science from UC Merced in Microbiology
and Immunology. She attended Veterinary School at Western University of Heath
Sciences and completed a rotating Equine (horse) internship in Weatherford,
Texas. Today Dr Hofer works on small animal medicine with a side of equine. She
enjoys trail running and backpacking with her dog Cru, in addition to playing
guitar in her off time.
